June 20, 2002, Ulaan-Baatar: THE GOVERNMENT THREATENS TO ACCUSE THE JOURNALISTS OF A CRIME FOR THEIR PUBLICATION OF A CRITICAL STATEMENT: Few days ago the Secretariat of the Mongolian Government complained to the Division of Combating Against the Most Serious and Organized Crimes of the Police Department in order it to create a criminal case against several journalists of the daily newspaper "Udriin sonin" for the publication of a loud critical statement against the Government and the ruling ex-communist party- MPRP and its leaders. Tuesday: JOURNALISTS ARE UNDER CONSTANT FEAR: Mr. Uuganbayar Tsendsuren, 25, Lhagva Choijilsuren, 33, Jargalsaihan Haltar, 25, Tuvshin Munhbaatar, 25, are being under Police and Court investigations since December 26, 2001.
